So far, my first day at my new job is fairly okay. My boss is not around but she has already given me assignments when I came here for endorsement one week ago. I already finished one copy and need to do two more. I’m still a bit slow considering that this is the first time I have written a promotional copy. My previous job at another publishing company has definitely honed my writing skills and is helping me a lot right now. Although I am already missing my friends there, I still feel I have made the right choice. Sometimes, you really have to step out of your comfort zone in order to get more out of life.
I will always be grateful to SD for giving me a chance to write for them. But I don’t really think I belong there. Work is like having a relationship with someone. It’s not only about being initially attracted to each other, you have to click with each other for a very long time otherwise, it will never work out. Either you or your work suffers. Inspiration is the key. When you are uninspired, you will never be motivated to make it work.
How we all wish romantic relationships can be that simple but we know that it isn’t. The same goes for work.
